Detour - Underage Drinking Class

Your Choice is excited to offer our new DETOUR Alcohol and Drug Awareness Lifestyle Risk Reduction Class. Detour uses the evidence based PRIME For Life risk reduction program. The first goal of the program is to help each participant in the program reduce risk for any type of alcohol or drug problem. The second goal focuses on self-assessment to help participants understand and accept the need to make changes to protect the things most valuable in their lives.

Participants for this class should be under the age of 21 who have received an underage drinking ticket or possession of a controlled substance, in violation of an athletic code, facing expulsion, or are interested in learning more about prevention.

Parents - this is a great class for your child to attend if you are concerned he/she is experimenting with drugs or alcohol.

Your Choice Description

Four years ago Rick and Sandi Lybert sat at their kitchen table and asked each other, "What can we do to help other families who are going through what we did?"  Their 21 year-old son, Tyler was in treatment for alcohol and drug addiction after ten years of use that wreaked havoc on their marriage, family and finances.  The devastation Tyler's drug abuse caused in the Lybert family caused them to start Your Choice -- a drug and alcohol abuse prevention, education and awareness program for students and parents.

Today Tyler is over four years in recovery and, with other Your Choice youth speakers, has shared his story of addiction with over 10,500 middle and high school students in the 2011-12 school year.  With a charismatic young emcee who ties speakers' stories together along with his own, Your Choice incorporates a youth speaker who did not use substances, one who dabbled and pulled back, and one whose drug of choice was alcohol and one who used drugs.  The speaker, who did not use, empowers students with the tools and confidence to resist pressure.  Those in recovery, who did use, draw in students who feel invincible.  Tyler and other recovering addicts describe how they crossed the line to addiction and the consequences of that choice.

In an hour-long assembly, community gathering or other venue opportunities, Your Choice youth speakers share the reality of choosing drugs and alcohol or choosing not to.  Surveying every student after presentations reveals what students did not know, how their views have changed and what future decisions might be altered.

Drug Tests

Not sure if your loved one is using drugs? Test them.

We have 5 panel urine drug screen tests available that test for Amphetamines (AMP), Cocaine (COC), Benzodiazepines (BZO), Opiates (OPI 2000) and Marijuana (THC) all in one test. These tests are simple, easy to use and results are instant. We are asking for a donation of $5.00 per test plus shipping and handling. Click Here to Order.
